Humphrey Cup‎ > ‎

On behalf of St. Vincents GAA Club, I am writing (belatedly) to thank St. James Gaels GAA Club very sincerely for inviting our Under 11 footballers to participate, once again, in the John Humphrey Memorial Tournament.
As Paul Tancred our Under 11 mentor told you, our Under 11 players, mentors and parents very much enjoyed the experience of playing in the Tournament, and were most appreciative of all the work that was very obviously put into organising the event. We are obviously very proud too of James Mulcahy on his outstanding performance throughout.
Congratulations on the coverage of the event on your website – we posted the link for our members to visit, with a short report from Paul, on our own website
Please pass on our sincere thanks to everyone involved.

On behalf of my team and Lucan Sarfields I wish to thank you sincerely for a fantastic weekend enjoyed by our kids, parents and friends.
The tournament was a credit to the family of John, you and your club St James Gaels.
I can only imagine how hard it is to organise a tournament of this stature every year, and I know that you had a lot of help from club members, referees, parents, etc, please pass on my thanks.
John Humphrey will be remembered by all who play in the tournament every year and may you have continued success in the coming years.

Many Thanks again Paul.

Tom Millea - Lucan Sarsfields

On behalf of Thomas Davis Under 10 team I would like to take the opportunity to thank St James Gaels, the Humphreys Family, Paul Flanagan and his organising team for giving our team two wonderful days out at the John Humphreys Cup. It was an honour to take part in such an event.
And if the additional footbal provided by the tournament was not enough of a bonus your treatment of the children at the post match banquet is another highlight. The children of all four remaining teams on day 2 were made to feel like superstars.
The trophy will have pride of place in the Thomas Davis trophy cabinet for the next year. I am already looking forward to attending next years tournament as a spectator.

Niall Kelly - Thomas Davis

A big thank you to St James Gaels, The Humphrey's family, Paul Flanagan and all involved in the organisation of a fantastic tournament.
