St. James Gaels Honours John McNicholas

At its Annual Dinner Dance in the Iveagh Grounds on 6 June St James Gaels Chairman Billy Hannigan paid tribute to the enormous contribution made to the development of the Club by its former Secretary John Mc Nicholas.

Club Chairman Billy Hannigan said that John had been instrumental in the development of both An Caislean GAA Club and St James Gaels and was an excellent servant of the Club over an extended period.

Last year John stepped down from his role of Club Secretary following his appointment to the staff of the Dublin County Board.

John is very well respected in Dublin GAA Circles where his extensive knowledge and expertise has benefitted the whole GAA Community for many years.

Our pictures show John with current Club Chairman Billy Hannigan and the second shows John with Billy and former Club Chairman Pat Darcy.

John was presented with a piece of fine crystal as a token of appreciation for his sterling work on behalf of the Club
